A Night Out

13 Nov
All photographs were taken on 5th February 2011. I was wearing a dress that I got from New Look a couple of years back, skinny jeans from GAP, boots from a shoe shop in Brugge, Belgium, and a cardigan from Monsoon, that I also got quite a few years ago. A lot of my clothes are mix and match from different places, and often old and new. The fun is in creating a wardrobe that fits who you are; and if that means you want to throw out all your clothes and start again, then so be it, but I’m more of a hoarder, I find it hard to throw things out, especially clothes, so I often end up with a bulging wardrobe! I try not to buy too many clothes, and just rework the clothes I have…but I can’t deny that I do like to buy new clothes from time to time…
One of my favourite shops at the moment is H&M, and whilst my favourite shops for a long time was Topshop, I now find their clothes are over-priced for what they are, and the styles are sometimes a bit too out-there for my liking. I will pop in to the shop from time to time, but I often leave empty-handed these days. Jewellery is also a great way to dress up and customise an outfit, and I must say, that for someone who is setting up a jewellery business, I don’t wear anywhere near enough jewellery myself, which must be changed! I have a little collection of necklaces and bracelets from over the years; my favourite type of jewellery is probably bracelets, so I should probably keep an eye out for interesting ones…and maybe they’ll pop up on my Christmas wishlist…!
What are your favourite shops, and why?
Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday x

All you need…

6 Apr

…is love. These photographs were taken on Sunday 3rd April ’11, which also happened to be Mothering Sunday. Spent the day in Cambridge with my Mum, Gran, sister and her partner…’twas lovely; and these were taken in my Gran’s garden. So, I guess, welcome to the first post of what, I hope, will be the first of many! My aim is really to just showcase my outfits, so that I can see what looked good…and what was a bit “oo er”! Hope you enjoy my journey.
